How to Play
NOTE: DO NOT SHARE THESE INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE PLAYING
- Before you play, make sure that at least one other person knows the secret. If no one knows the secret yet, tell someone without anyone else hearing.
- When you are ready to play, gather everyone and tell them you will leave temporarily and they need to choose an item that is in plain sight in the room or area while you are gone.
- Leave the room.
- They will decide on one item, such as the red balloon in this example room.
- Come back when they are ready.
- The person who knows the secret should volunteer to be the one to ask you questions for this round.
- The questioner will ask questions, pointing to different objects in the room, such as
"It is the green door?"
or
"Is it the yellow cat toy?"
or even leave out the color: "Is it the cereal bowl?"
- You will say no each time, until...
- When the questioner is ready to reveal the selected object to you, he/she will ask a question about a
black item in the room,
such as
"Is it the black toy car?"
or
"Is it the black dog?"
- Say no.
- For the next question, the questioner will ask you about the selected item, so say YES!
In this example,
"Is it the red balloon?"
"YES!"
- Everyone will be amazed!
- Do more rounds until everyone figures out the secret. If someone figures out the secret, they can be the guesser or questioner for the next round.
